About Everyday Project 18 008

May: Photo / Taking it in turns to post a photograph to the blog each day, formal concerns and interests such as line, shape and form began to emerge in the photographs. The collaboration expanded as we began to respond to each other's ways of seeing.

June: Drawing / We turned our focus to found drawings and explorations of drawing in the expanded field. Line, line quality, composition, space, figure/ground relationships and the grid all emerged as areas of inquiry. One parallel question that emerged at this stage of our exchange was "How do we distinguish between looking and making and where is the line between these two concerns?”

July: Sculpture and Form / We have inserted an extra month to focus on mutual concerns that emerged in the first month that we wanted to develop further. We are beginning by looking for found sculptural relationships; it is likely that the same question about the distinction between looking and making will enter into this process as well.

August: Video and Moving Image / Posts will present 30 second videos captured on our cell phones.
